Information Drive

Hundred of Young People from various colleges of Mindanao State University gathered at the College of Social Sciences and Humanities-Language Center to participate in a one-day information drive with the theme "Extending the Knowledge Frontiers through Information Sharing" aimed to empower the youth on Feb.2.

The said endeavor was spearheaded by the CommStud 144 (Public Speaking and Debating) Class under Prof. Francisco E. Amarillo of the Communication and Media Studies Department and Ranon Ko Kalumbayan headed by its President Mr. Ahmad Salic Guro.

The objective of the one-day information drive was to increase the knowledge of the youth in some of the areas concerning the present society. The topics discussed in the affair was Valentine's Day and its Origin by Ms. Eden Rose Dayuha, Save Lake Lanao by Mr. Fahad M. Panggaga, Child Labor in the Philippines and the Rights of the Children violated through child labor by Mr. Ahmad Salic Guro, Game shows in the Philippines by Mr. Rustom Bauya, Parallel Universe by Mr. Joseph Ajero, Condom and its Origin by Ms. Shiela Hurboda and Bermuda Triangle by Mr. Cayper Trugillo.

It was truly an empowering event, where the participants gained more knowledge to the topics being discussed.# Madz Guro
